The Sound of Music Live
Gretl has a lot to say!

Kym Karath played the youngest Von Trapp child, Gretl, in the 1965 movie 'The Sound of Music'.

With NBC's live version of 'The Sound of Music' airing in December 2013, Kym got together with former co-star Charmian Carr (Liesl), and a few other friends to watch it.

Just before the show began, Karath tweeted:

'Very glad tonight's Gretl won't risk drowning! There is no boat scene in this play!'

After her risky experience while filming in Austria, which you can read all about here.

During the special performance, starring Carrie Underwood, Karath tweeted her thoughts, and unfortunately, her disappointment at the live show. She said:

'Mystified and disappointed so far by SOM special. So far only happy with Stephen Moyer'

'Must admit, some scenes are actually painful to watch'

'Love Carrie Underwood but this role is just not right for her. She is lovely, her voice is beautiful but acting is wrong'

She also tweeted about the aspects she liked:

'Enjoying scene with Captain, Herr Detweiller and Baroness. All excellent actors'

'Loving Laura Benanti's performance. Great Job'

And after some backlash from Underwood fans, followed up by saying:

'To be clear, I love Carrie Underwood. Just not as Maria. She was brave to take it on. And this doesn't lessen my respect for her talent'

So there we have it - That's what Kym thought - but what is your opinion?
